They are fairly detailed designs, so sharp pencils and fine markers work well in addition to your other coloring materials. You can trim the bookmarks so that you have 4 separate bookmarks, or, you can cut, fold and tape or glue them so you end up with two back-to-back bookmarks. Punch a hole at the top, add a ribbon, and you have a cute, handmade gift for someone special (or use in your current favorite book).
